Tiger Woods Secures His Third Victory of the Season at AT&T National
TIGER WOODS claimed his 74th US Tour victory in the AT&T National at the Congressional Country Club, Maryland. He moved past Jack Nicklaus and into second place on the Tour’s career list — eight behind the legendary Sam Snead. Woods finished on eight under par to beat fellow American Bo Van Pelt by two shots and he moved to the top of the PGA Tour money list and the FedEx Cup standings for the first time since September 2009.
Tiger Woods captured his 74th PGA Tour win at AT&T National, moving him into outright second place on the PGA Tour’s all-time career win list. Tiger’s win was with 14 Nike clubs in the bag, including the Nike Method 001 putter. Helping him to his third victory of the season was his full bag of 14 Nike clubs. Woods, using the Nike Method putter, is ranked first on the PGA Tour in putts from 20 – 25’ so far this season, and ranked ninth for the week in putts gained.
Nike’s Method technology features Nike’s polymetal groove technology that generates a faster forward roll at impact for increased accuracy. This technology has been instrumental in the 37 wins by Nike athletes on the Professional Tours worldwide.
